Allergy Aware Asian Fare by Sharon Wong

Happy Friday!! I hope you had a great week and wonderful plans this weekend. I have a new recipe, Steamed Salmon Steaks, for you to try. Tomorrow (8/24) is waffles for breakfast day and one of my favorite waffles is a famous Hong Kong snack.

Here are my top recommendations from Nut Free Wok for this week.

New and Recommended Recipes

Steamed Salmon Steaks

New recipe alert! This recipe features tender and flavorful salmon because of the black bean and garlic sauce, so delicious. It's also easy to prep and handsoff while you wait for the salmon finishes steaming (12 minutes!). That's plenty of time of prep a side dish or just relax.

Chicken & Vegetable Lo Mein

Another name for this recipe might be chicken and vegetable chow mein, so flavorful and easy to make. The recipe is nut-free and egg-free because I use angel hair pasta as an egg-free adaptation.

Bubble Waffle Sundae

Bubble waffles or egg waffles are a popular Hong Kong snack that you can find at boba shops and even in the freezer section at certain stores. You can make them yourself and eat them plain or top them with ice cream, fruit, and other toppings for a very special sundae treat.

Additional Updates

I like to know your thoughs. I haven't decided which recipe to share next week, so I decided to add a poll that will be open for 24 hours, so vote! Maybe I'm feeling decision fatigue from wondering daily about what to make for dinner!?!

Warmly,

Sharon Wong
